Summer CHW Core Competency Training

This training will be facilitated virtually, via Zoom.

Learners will be equipped with the foundational knowledge necessary to begin work as a Community Health Worker. Participants who complete all phases of training are eligible to sit for the SC CHW Certification Exam administered by the SC CHW Association. This training curriculum is rooted in participatory learning techniques and emphasizes skills and competencies following the C3 Project Core Competencies of CHWs.

Training is comprised of 161 hours over approximately 6 weeks. Broken down into 3 weeks of facilitated learning (June 19 – July 7), a 2-week break for practicum completion (July 10 – July 24), and 3 additional weeks of facilitated learning (July 25 – Aug 10).
