April 10th – May 19th. Monday – Friday. 9 am – 4 pm. (1 hr break for lunch)
This training will be held in person in the Sandhills Region. 120 Research Dr. Columbia, SC 29203.
Learners will be equipped with the foundational knowledge necessary to begin work as a Community Health Worker. Participants who complete all phases of training are eligible to sit for the SC CHW Certification Exam administered by the SC CHW Association. This training curriculum is rooted in participatory learning techniques and emphasizes skills and competencies following the C3 Project Core Competencies of CHWs.
Training is comprised of 161 hours over approximately 6 weeks. Broken down into 2 weeks of facilitated learning (Apr. 10 – Apr. 20), a 4-week break for practicum completion (Apr. 21 – May 12), and 1 additional week of facilitated learning (May 15 – May 19).
