Gaining Awareness: The Impact of Community Health Workers on the National Syphilis and Congenital Syphilis Syndemic

Join the HHS Office of the Assistant Secretary for Health (OASH), Region 4 and the Southeast Community Health Worker Network for a virtual webinar event that aims to identify ways Community Health Workers (CHWs) have supported efforts in addressing syphilis/congenital syphilis in the Region.

Objectives: (1) Identify ways Community Health Workers (CHWs) have supported efforts in addressing syphilis and congenital syphilis in the Region; (2) Generate actionable recommendations for leveraging the CHW workforce to support efforts at the national, state and local levels to reduce rates of primary and secondary (P&S) syphilis and congenital syphilis (CS) as well as reduce syphilis related health disparities.
