Fall Core Competency Training

This training will be in-person on Tuesdays and Thursdays held at 120 Research Dr. Columbia, SC 29203. 

This training curriculum is rooted in participatory learning techniques and adult learning principles. Training is 161 hours in duration over approximately 6 weeks. Broken down into 3 weeks of facilitated learning, a 2 week break for practicum completion, and 3 more weeks of facilitated learning.   

Learners will be equipped with the foundational knowledge necessary to begin work as a Community Health Worker. Participants who complete all phases of training are eligible to sit for the SC CHW Certification Exam administered by the SC CHW Association.
