Description: The mission of the Center for Community Health Alignment (CCHA) at the Arnold School of Public Health of the University of South Carolina is to cocreate solutions with communities to advance health equity. CCHA is looking for a Community Health Worker (CHW) to lead/coordinate a national CHW workforce initiative project. Led by CHWs with expertise developing Community Health Worker programs and organizational capacity building, this project aims to advance equity through fortification of partners and emerging networks and expansion of skill-building training around health and racial equity for Community Health Workers.
Bachelor’s degree in public health, social work, or related social science field and three years of experience in project management. Ability to work independently to lead, develop, organize, and achieve the goals of the goals of the project. Proven and effective organizational skills, time management, attention to detail and multitasking skills. Understanding of Community Health Workers and their impact on improving health required. Experience working collaboratively with local, state, and national partners/stakeholders. Ability to manage, organize and report on multiple project components. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Familiar with virtual communication platforms such as Zoom and Microsoft Teams. Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, specifically Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Experience working as or with Community Health Workers preferred
