Please note, this April 22nd – June 18th cohort is at maximum capacity. There are only 20 seats available for each cohort.
This training will be held virtually, Monday – Friday. 9 am – 12 pm (EST). Learners will be equipped with the foundational knowledge necessary to begin work as a Community Health Worker. Participants who complete all phases of training are eligible to sit for the SC CHW Certification Exam administered by the SC CHW Association. This training curriculum is rooted in participatory learning techniques and emphasizes skills and competencies following the C3 Project Core Competencies of CHWs. Training is comprised of 161 hours over approximately 6 weeks. Broken down into 3 weeks of facilitated learning (April 22 – May 24), a 3-week break for practicum completion (May 27 – June 14). Participants will return to facilitated learning for a final community presentation on June 17th and CHW Exam review session on June 18th.
