Perinatal CHW Workshop – Hybrid Sandhills Region

The Perinatal CHW Workshop is a 30-hour interactive course that complements the CHW Core Competency Training with specific information and skills for working with families during the perinatal period (preconception, pregnancy, and up to the infant’s 2nd birthday). The workshop covers Life Course health, reproductive life planning, contraceptive counseling, stages of pregnancy and labor, developmental milestones, infant safety, and building CHW skills for the perinatal period.The Perinatal CHW Workshop is a 30-hour interactive course that complements the CHW Core Competency Training with specific information and skills for working with families during the perinatal period (preconception, pregnancy, and up to the infant’s 2nd birthday). This training is broken down into 6 modules, 3 facilitated in person, 3 virtually facilitated. The 3 in-person training session will be held on May 6th, May 13th, & May 20th from 9 am – 4 pm (EST) with a 1 hr break for lunch. The 3 virtual sessions will be held on May 9th, May 16th, & May 23rd from 1 pm – 4 pm (EST).
