CHW Core Competency Training – SC CHW Certification Training

The Community Health Worker Core Competency Training Curriculum provides participants with the foundational knowledge necessary to begin work as a Community Health Worker (CHW) and provides an avenue to certification eligibility. After all phases of training have been completed, training participants will be prepared to sit for the South Carolina Community Health Worker Exam (administered by the South Carolina Community Health Worker Association.

All learners must attend 80% of training to be eligible to sit for the state exam.
The Center for Community Health Alignment does not administer the exam.
If exam accommodations are needed, please let your facilitators know as soon as possible. 

The standard cost for training is $1,850.00 for CHWs employed by agencies making more than 200k annually. There is a discounted price of $1,050.00 for CHWs employed by organizations with budgets less than $200,000 annually. For independent, or self-pay CHWs, there is a discounted price of $450.00.
